Will Buhari investigate Fashola’s corruption?

It has been claimed that an agreement was reached during President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to the United States that Nigeria will receive help from the US in training investigators and prosecutors “in order to place Nigeria in a good position to uncover proceeds of corruption and for improved prosecution of cases of crime.”

Can we expect an investigation of Fashola’s eight years in office from a president that laces every comment with “fighting corruption”?

Instead, Buhari took Fashola with him to the G7 summit in Germany in June, and there is a strong possibility that Fashola will be nominated as a minister in September. At least, he has been lobbying vigorously for this.
