President Muhammadu Buhari was with President Barack Obama today in the Oval Office.
Obama said that the US wanted to help Nigeria address corruption issues and terrorism.
Buhari then went on about how he was grateful for the US pressure that helped uphold Nigerian democracy in terms of getting former president Goodluck Jonathan accept the results. He then talked about how “we in the All Nigeria Peoples Congress” were committed to democracy.
Watch the video here:
Buhari used to belong to the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) before he moved to the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), which then merged with other parties to become the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Certainly a lot of alphabets for a 72 year old man to keep track of.
It would be recalled that Buhari once referred to the APC as “All Progressive Confidence”.
