The former coach of the Nigerian national team, Sunday Oliseh, has published his bank statement to dispel the claims by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) that his salary was paid just before he quit last month, after just eight months on the job.
Oliseh also used a video to explain his motivation for withdrawing a lawsuit against the NFF, calling it the “proof you must see”.
Watch it here:
Oliseh continued to insist that interference in his team selection was the main reason why he quit: “But what I feel they [NFF] regarded more important about was trying to influence who plays for Nigeria, who gets invited, who would play. And obviously, I refused because they are not coaches”.
Oliseh continues to sharply divide public opinion in Nigeria several weeks after resigning. While his hotheadedness may be an issue, the crookedness of the NFF should not be in doubt.
