Nigeria’s Super Eagles face Iceland in about a couple of hours in a crucial World Cup Group D clash in Volgograd. After losing 2-0 in their opener against Croatia, the Nigerians must win today to retain any real hope of staying in the tournament beyond the group stages.
Last night the team was visited by arguably Nigeria’s best ever player, the right winger Segun Odegbami.

Odegbami told the players how lucky they are to be at the World Cup. Nigeria failed to qualify in his heyday in the 1970s and early 1980s. He also reminded them that black people all over the world were looking to Nigeria to deliver.
