Members of the Imo State House of Assembly are up in arms against the governor Rochas Okorocha.
The beef with Rochas has united rival All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members. The legislators are upset that Okorocha has been “chopping only him” and not “settling” them. They claim he has not fulfilled his many promises to give them their agreed share of the public funds he has been looting.
Our source in the assembly said that whenever some members kicked off against the perceived slight by Rochas, the governor would take them on a foreign trip to appease them – like he did on his recent visit to Turkey.
The legislator, who didn’t want to be named, said people should “watch this space” and that they were going to “deal with Rochas”. He failed to reveal what type of action the governor will face.
