Goodluck with the multi-billion naira homecoming

As Nigerians groan under massive fuel shortages, an energy crisis with virtually non-existent power supply, and austerity measures implemented due to the drop in government revenues as a result of falling oil prices, a multi-billion naira reception is being planned in Bayelsa State this weekend for outgoing president and Bayelsa native Goodluck Jonathan.

Bayelsa governor Seriake Dickson said that as Nigerians have rejected their son, his people will show their appreciation with a “befitting” welcome back home.

Once the formal handover duties are completed in Abuja, Goodluck is expected back in Yenagoa for the no expense spared reception, with dignitaries expected from across the Niger Delta region.

Millions of Nigerians may be struggling on less than a dollar a day, but for every Goodluck, Dickson and Patience, money no be problem.
