President Muhammadu Buhari does not delegate tasks, does not trust his ministers and carries on like he is the only one with the answers.
A source said nothing is getting approved as people nominally in charge still have to get the president’s permission. Everything has to be run through the president. One minister complained to a source a few months ago that the process takes even longer because of the amount of time needed to explain even simple matters to the president.
People close to him claim that Buhari wants to micromanage and believes that, despite his obvious limitations, he can run Nigeria on his own. This could explain why he insists on carrying on like the foreign minister and going on a world tour.
