Buhahari has been revealed to us to be receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness in a hospital in Leicester.
He was seen there by a Nigerian nurse last night, who has refused to reveal to us the name of the hospital to protect her job.
The president-elect surprised his aides and his party bigwigs by this sudden trip to the UK and he has remained in the country despite his scheduled inauguration on Friday 29 May.
Our source has revealed Buhahari is expected to fly back to Nigeria today (Wednesday) or tomorrow.
The source also said that a meeting was hastily arranged with David Cameron, the British Prime Minister, over the weekend to provide cover for the real reasons behind the trip.
It is hard to contemplate any other reasons why a president-elect should be abroad so close to his inauguration, especially with the myriad of problems in his in-tray when he takes over.
