APC and INEC disenfranchising “non-indigenes” in Lagos?

Our source in Lagos reported that many are informing him that the APC and INEC, the Independent Nigerian Electoral Commission, have connived to ensure that areas with a high population of “non-indigenes” did not receive their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs).

These areas include Surulere, while areas such as Mushin, that are overwhelmingly made up of “indigenes” have mostly received PVCs and there were hardly any complaints on this issue in those areas.

The majority of “non-indigenes” in Lagos are Igbos from the southeast of the country and are widely perceived to be pro-PDP. While Yorubas are seen as “indigenes” of Lagos and the ruling party in the state is the APC.
