President Muhammadu Buhari has missed three weekly Federal Executive Council meetings since he returned from what his propaganda team called a “medical vacation” in London.
Since that return a gaunt-looking Buhari has only been seen at one public engagement in the presidential villa and during Friday prayers at the villa’s mosque.
Last Friday it was a no-show for the president during Friday prayers. Then, today, which is the “Workers’ Day” public holiday in the country, that usually includes a presidential address to workers, there was no sign of Buhari.
This has prompted questions on social media about a president missing in action.

The keeping of an apparently sick president under wraps can’t go on for too long. Something would have to give at some point, either for good or bad.
