Members of the separatist Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who are campaigning for the secession of southeast of Nigeria from the rest of the country, last night held what they called a “wake-keep” for Nigeria at Abuja House in Camden Hill, Kensington in West London.
President Muhammadu Buhari, who remains in London after attending the Commonwealth Heads of Government summit, is believed to be staying in the building.
The protesters believed that Buhari left the property when they gathered. Indeed, several cars sped out of the building as they protesters shouted “terrorist, paedophile, idiot, demon” in the direction of the cars and in reference to the Nigerian president.

This protest follows on from another demonstration they held on Thursday at the Commonwealth Secretariat in Pall Mall.
The protesters claimed that they have chased Buhari out of Abuja House. However, a source told Naijiant.com that Buhari has a mansion in Knightsbridge in London where he stays during visits. They also said they want to ensure Buhari “is not coming back to London again”. They promised to be back “tomorrow”.
